This bridge tower is, in fact, a complex of two towers of different styles and heights. Situated on the bank of the River Vltava and connected via a Gothic gate, these towers mark the entrance to the Lesser Town.
The smaller one, called Judith’s Tower, dates back to the 12th century and was originally built in the Romanesque style. Nowadays, you can also spot some Renaissance features on the building, including sgraffitos adorning the facade. This tower is not accessible to the public.
The taller bridge tower was built in 1464 in the Late Gothic style. Once used as a storage and fire tower, its viewing gallery now offers splendid views of the surrounding area.
The nearest metro station is Malostranská. Unfortunately, the building is not wheelchair accessible.
Last admission 30 min before closing.
