Powder Tower is an impressive Late Gothic tower where gunpowder used to be stored in the 17th century. It is also a place where once coronation processions of kings used to enter the city of Prague. Located only a short walk from Republic Square, it also marks the beginning of Celetna Street, one of the oldest streets in the city.
You can enter the tower which construction dates back to 1475. After walking up 186 steps, you can see the wonders of Prague from a bird's perspective here.
The nearest metro station is Náměstí Republiky (Republic Square).
