Chislehurst Caves

These man-made intersecting tunnels have been used for various purposes. From the 13 - 19th centuries, they were used for chalk mining and flint mining. Later, during the WWII, they were used as raid shelters and in the 1960s they served as concert venues. David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, and Pink Floyd performed here! Nowadays they are a popular tourist attraction.
