Eiffelov toranj je toranj izrađen od gvožđa, ukupne visine 324 m koji se nalazi u glavnom francuskom gradu Parizu. Nazvan je po Alexandreu Gustavu Eiffelu, inženjeru koji ga je osmislio. Građen je od 1887. do 1889, predstavljen 31. marta 1889. u povodu Svjetske izložbe kojom je obilježena 100. godišnjica Francuske revolucije, dok je za posjetioce otvoren 6. maja iste godine. Izgradnjom Eiffelovog tornja, Keopsova ili Velika piramida u Gizi, u Egiptu izgubila je dotadašnji status najviše građevine na planeti, a toranj je ostao najviši sve do izgradnje njujorške zgrade Chrysler…
