This museum is located in a preserved Art Nouveau villa and serves as a monument to the work of photographers Josef Seidel and his son František Seidel. The interior contains original photographic equipment, historical archives, and extensive collections that document the daily life, landscapes, and social relations of Czech, Austrian, and German populations in the Šumava region during the first half of the 20th century.
The studio offers retro-style photography sessions featuring period costumes. The site is open to the public and provides a look into the evolution of photography and the history of the local border region through the lens of the Seidel family.
