Offermannův dům

This historic residential building was constructed by the descendants of the Offermann textile dynasty. It is situated below Františkov hill, overlooking the site where the family's former cloth factory once operated across the railway line. The family's industrial legacy began with Johann Heinrich Offermann (1748–1793), a wool expert who established a fine-cloth factory in 1786 that eventually gained a worldwide reputation.

Another family member, Theodor von Offermann (1822–1892), was instrumental in urban development, introducing the first horse-drawn tram in 1869. He was also a noted supporter of the Moravian Industrial Museum. The building remains a physical link to the family's influence on the textile manufacturing heritage of the region.
