Budějovická brána

The gate was constructed between 1605 and 1610 by the builders Jan Lukan and Dominik Cometta z Eckthurn. It is a significant example of Renaissance architecture and serves as one of the original entrances to the town. This structure is a key component of a well-preserved fortification system that historically included defensive walls, bastions, and moats.

The exterior is decorated with notable sgraffito wall patterns. The gate features dedicated pedestrian passages alongside the main entrance, which allow for access into the historic town center. As a designated Cultural Heritage Site, it remains a prominent historical landmark within the town's defensive perimeter.
