The largest and most populous quarter of the Old City, is a lively and always busy place with lots of small shops. Right in the center of the Muslim Quarter is the shuk, consisting of bustling outdoor marketplaces, and a maze of narrow streets, some of which date back a thousand years. You´ll find traditional products such as spices, textiles or vegetables, along with the usual touristy fare and thus shop also for some souvenirs.
