The biggest park in Milan (spreading on nearly 100 acres) is surrounded by two major Milan sights - Sforza Castle and the Arch of Peace. It was established by the end of the 19th century and was popular ever since.
Taking the peaceful stroll down the picturesque park, admiring the lake or feeding the ducks can help you relax after (or during) a long day of sightseeing.
Inside the park, there are several places worth visiting. If you enjoy sports, be sure to check the Arena Civica (a 19th-century building resembling the stadia of the Ancient Rome). If you prefer modern structures, you should not miss the Torre Branca (a tower with an observation deck from which you can admire the city). There is also an aquarium called Acquario Civico located inside the park.
There are several metro stations around - Cadorna (lines 1 and 2, Cadorna is also a train station), Cairoli (1), Moscova (2) and Montenapoleone (3), which is a little further.
Free admission.
