Cancún Underwater Museum

Local nameMuseo Subacuático de Arte
LocationQuintana Roo, Mexico

Opened in 2010, this large underwater museum holds an impressive number of concrete sculptures scattered along the Cancún and Isla Mujeres shores. Interestingly, the museum is not only a major tourist attraction but also benefits coral reefs which grow on the statues.

If you don't feel like diving, head to Plaza Kukulcán, where you can explore some replicas of the underwater exhibit.
