A Greek Orthodox church with elaborately decorated interior. Note the relics of St. John Chrysostom and St. Gregory the Theologian. The church is quite small but there is a reason for it – the churches in Ottoman Empire were regulated by Islamic Laws and they had to be smaller than Islamic buildings. Despite its size, this church is an important place for Greek Orthodox community in Istanbul.
