En armillarsfære er et astronomisk instrument, opfundet af Eratosthenes i 248 f.Kr..
Armillarsfærer blev i oltidens Grækenland brugt til undervisning og astronomiske observationer. I slutningen af middelalderen benyttedes instrumentet igen, blandt andet af den danske astronom Tycho Brahe.
