This late Gothic Protestant church features historical origins dating back to the 10th or 11th century and was first mentioned in 1228. The current building dates to 1447. As a designated Cultural Heritage Site, it is recognized for its architectural heritage and deep historical roots in the region.

The interior is known for its 15th-century frescoes, which were rediscovered in 1927. The church has also undergone restoration following a significant fire in 1940.

The building serves as a key venue for prestigious musical events. It regularly hosts performances for the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad and the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, having served as the site for the latter's inaugural concert in 1957. The interior is open for exploration.
