This Baroque parish church was constructed between 1601 and 1602 based on designs by Johannes Schmid. Its development followed a tragic avalanche in 1601 near St. Kolumban, which may have influenced the church's history. The building is designated as a Cultural Heritage Site.

The interior contains an ornate high altar crafted by Johann Ritz, as well as detailed stucco work dating from the 18th century. A historic organ is located within the sanctuary. The church's altars house reliquaries said to contain the skulls of Felix and Regula, the patron saints of Zurich. The building is open for public viewing.
