The Home of J.L. Runeberg is the original 1860s residence of Finland’s national poet, Johan Ludvig Runeberg, and his wife Fredrika. Managed by the Porvoo Museum, the site preserves the material and intangible cultural heritage of the region within one of Finland's oldest museum institutions.
The interior features the family's original living spaces, preserved with original furniture and personal belongings. The collections include various personal artifacts, such as hunting weapons and porcelain, documenting the domestic life of the 19th-century poet.
A restored historic garden is located on the grounds. The museum is open to the public and is wheelchair accessible.
