Completed in 2015 and opened to the public in 2019, this working presidential palace serves as a primary cultural landmark and a center for public administration. It functions as the official meeting place for the UAE Cabinet and the Federal Supreme Council, hosting international summits and official state visits. The architecture features traditional Islamic design elements, including a massive central dome and intricately crafted grand halls.
The interior houses the Qasr Al Watan Library, which preserves a vast collection of books and resources regarding the nation's political, social, and cultural history. Another key feature is the House of Knowledge, where a curated selection of artifacts and manuscripts highlights the historical contributions of the Arab world to various fields of study. Interactive exhibitions throughout the building provide detailed information on the spirit and governance of the United Arab Emirates.
The site is open to the public for exploration. An evening light and sound show, 'Palace in Motion', takes place on the palace grounds, utilizing the facade as a canvas to tell the story of the nation's past, present, and future.
