This vast U-shaped glacial landscape is a protected nature reserve known for its significant wetlands and marshlands. The Gangteng Monastery (also known as Gangtey Gompa) is a historic Buddhist complex dating back to the 16th or 17th century that overlooks the valley from a forested hill.
