Ancient City of Nessebar

This historic site occupies a rocky peninsula and preserves archaeological evidence spanning more than 3,000 years. The town features distinct layers of Thracian, Greek, and Byzantine civilizations, which are visible through its diverse ruins and structures. The cultural heritage and archaeological sites are managed by the Музей Старинен Несебър.

The architectural ensemble consists of ancient fortifications, a series of medieval churches, and well-preserved 19th-century wooden houses. These elements represent various stages of the settlement's long history and urban evolution.

The area is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and is open for public exploration. The town functions as a museum of history and architecture, showcasing the transition between ancient and modern eras.
