This historic monument commemorates the Mercury Space Program and the 1962 splashdown of astronaut John Glenn in the Turks and Caicos region. The exhibit features a life-sized model of the Friendship 7 space capsule and a reproduction of John Glenn wearing a space suit.

A 20-foot-tall replica of the Atlas rocket is also part of the display. Historical information regarding the mission is presented as part of the exhibits, which are also commemorated at the Turks and Caicos National Museum. The site is open to the public.
