The site consists of a cascade of six branches organized into three levels. Located within the Nkoma mountains, the falls encompass an area of more than 142 hectares.

Designated as a natural monument, the falls are situated within a protected area characterized by gallery forests and savanna landscapes. The site is used for sightseeing and hiking.

The grounds include the Karera cave, which is utilized as a sacred space for meditation and a place of worship.
