City Park Ice Rink

Local nameVárosligeti Műjégpálya
LocationCity Park, Budapest, Deutschland

Not only is this ice skating rink the largest in Europe, it is also one of the oldest, having opened in 1870. Even so, it is still perfectly equipped for the needs of the today's skaters thanks to the extensive renovations that took place in 2011.

The 12 000 square meters large area is located in the Budapest City Park. Due to its size, it was chosen as a venue for several intriguing events in the past - like the 2012 European Speed Skating Championship, or the 2009 snowball fight world record attempt.
