Also known as Prophet David Gate or Jewish Quarter Gate, this majestic gate facing Mount Zion leads to the old city of Jerusalem. It was built by the Ottomans in 1540 AD and at the time, it was protected by guards. Note the bullet holes on its walls - they serve as a reminder of the 1948 Israeli War of Independence.
