Looking at this tower, you may think for a moment that you found yourself in Paris. Although it was inspired by its French counterpart, this broadcasting tower outstrips even the Eiffel Tower in height. It is the second highest building in Japan.
Most fun things to do on the premises are concentrated in "Foottown", the 5-floors-tall structure at the foot of the tower. In 2017, a new theme park dedicated to the popular Japanese animated series One Piece opened on the 4th and 5th floors here. This is also where you can find a tourist information booth, toilets, as well as cafés, restaurants and even an aquarium.
If you are in search of great photographs, do not leave out a night visit to the tower. From dusk till dawn, it is lit by colourful lights, which change over time.
