This statue can be found east from an entrance to the Sandor Palace. Unveiled in 1905, it depicts a turul - a mythological bird of prey that, according to legend, was the ancestor of Arpád, one of Hungary's greatest warriors. It is also one of the most famous symbols of the Hungarian nation.
