This Baroque Roman Catholic church was constructed between 1737 and 1768 by the Piarist order, a Catholic religious order focused on education, as part of a college. It is recognized as a significant cultural heritage site and forms a key element of the urban monument reservation.
The building's architecture is defined by a central oval nave topped with a vault reaching a height of 35 meters. The interior is decorated with rich frescoes created by the painter J. J. Etgens.
