Completed in 1915, this royal residence was designed by Italian architect Mario Tamagno. Also known as the Lotus Pond Palace, the site was originally granted by King Chulalongkorn and has served as a home for members of the House of Mahidol, including Queen Savang Vadhana. It is the official residence of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and was the venue for the marriage of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
The grounds house the Queen Savang Vadhana Museum, which opened in 2008 to preserve cultural heritage. The palace complex consists of several pavilions surrounded by gardens. The site traditionally hosts special exhibitions and workshops focused on royal Thai arts and crafts.
While the palace grounds typically open for public access annually from December to February, the museum is currently temporarily closed for building renovations. During this renovation period, art workshops and special exhibitions remain available.
