Punta Ritidian

This cape serves as the primary public unit of the Guam National Wildlife Refuge and is open for the exploration of its natural and cultural history. The area is characterized by dramatic limestone cliffs and critical habitat for endangered species, including the Mariana fruit bat. It is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The site holds significant archaeological remains of a pre-Magellan Chamorro village. Notable features include ancient latte stone sites and limestone caves containing pictographs. This area is considered a sacred site by many CHamoru people and reflects the region's complex heritage.

A shark nursery is located within the coastal waters, where baby sharks are frequently observed. The refuge encompasses diverse ecosystems that support local biodiversity and preserve the historical landscape of the northern coastline.
