The current Vřídelní kolonáda is a modern functionalist and brutalist reinforced concrete structure completed in 1975. It houses the city's most famous thermal spring, the Vřídlo geyser, which erupts within a dedicated pavilion to a height of up to 12 meters. This site has been a significant historical location for spa architecture since the 19th century, undergoing various architectural iterations over time.
The facility functions as a central hub for traditional spa treatments, offering several spring vases and drinking stations. The mineral water provided for these drinking cures reaches temperatures of 72 °C. Since 1879, the colonnade has also hosted the statue of Hygie, a symbol of health and purity.
Beyond the main hall, the structure provides access to an underground excursion route. Guided tours covering the subterranean areas of the colonnade provide information about the local thermal springs. The building is open to the public and serves as a prominent landmark and promenade for the city's traditional mineral water treatments.
