Santa Ana Cathedral

Completed in 1913, this neo-Gothic cathedral is a National Monument designed by architects Aurelio Fuertes and Lucio Cappellaro. The building features a blend of Gothic and Byzantine styles, which contrasts with the colonial architecture typically found in the region. Its structure is defined by three naves and two distinct bell towers.

The interior is characterized by ornate moldings and a unique slate gray and pink striped color scheme. As the primary Catholic church of the diocese dedicated to Saint Anne, the cathedral houses a significant collection of religious art. The site is also a recognized place of prayer for expectant mothers.

This architectural landmark was officially declared a National Monument in 1995. It is noted for its gleaming white exterior and intricate architectural details that distinguish it from other cathedrals.
