This historical headland is the site of the 1626 Massacre of the Kalinago. During this event, a joint force of British and French colonists killed approximately 2,000 Kalinago people, an indigenous group also referred to as Caribs. This encounter represents a significant event in colonial history.
The area includes a river and provides access to the nearby Stone Fort Canyon, which features a collection of 100 ancient petroglyphs. Hiking trails run along the river, connecting the headland to the surrounding natural and historical landmarks.
