This late Gothic tower was constructed between 1445 and 1448 by the architect Mikuláš ze Sedlešovic. Standing at a height of 66.5 meters, the structure is a prominent landmark characterized by its complex and unique roof construction. It is part of the town hall and serves as a significant example of medieval engineering.
The tower recently underwent a four-year reconstruction and houses a new exhibition. An observation gallery is located at the upper level, providing panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscape. The site is open to the public, allowing for the exploration of its architectural details and historical perspectives.
As one of the most recognizable monuments in the area, the tower provides a significant look into the late medieval period. The recent renovations have preserved the historical character of the interior while maintaining the gallery for public access.
