Missions jésuites de La Santísima Trinidad et Jesús de Tavarangue

The site includes the well-preserved ruins of the Jesuit missions of La Santísima Trinidad de Paraná and Jesús de Tavarangue, constructed in the 17th and 18th centuries. These missions are notable examples of colonial urban planning and architectural design influenced by Baroque and Roman Catholic traditions. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the missions represent a unique fusion of European and indigenous cultures, reflected in their layout and construction.
