This former Gothic hunting residence was constructed in the 14th century and is designated as a National Cultural Monument. The architectural structure, which combines Gothic and Renaissance styles, features a knight's hall and a chapel.
The castle houses a regional branch of the Slovak National Gallery. The interior displays extensive collections of old European art featuring works by European masters, as well as Gothic frescoes, sculptures, and various historical museum collections.
