Originally built as a Jesuit church in the late 17th century, this Baroque cathedral serves as the spiritual heart of the Grodno Diocese. It is one of only four churches in Belarus to hold the title of minor basilica. The exterior is characterized by two 65-meter-high towers and distinctive light blue domes.
The interior features 13 ornate Baroque altars, including a massive 21-meter-high wooden altar. The space is decorated with intricate frescoes and over 70 sculptures. An ancient 18th-century organ is housed within the cathedral, which remains an active place of worship open for exploration of both its architecture and religious art.
One of the most notable features is a rare 17th-century pendulum clock, recognized as one of the oldest active clocks of its kind in Europe. The building was once part of a larger Jesuit college complex and is now designated as a Cultural Heritage Site.
