Constructed in 1800, this Empire-style pleasure house was designed by the architect Joseph Hardtmuth. Originally intended to serve as a pheasantry, the building is a significant example of Neoclassical architecture within the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape. The structure is characterized by its unique octagonal central pavilion, which houses a distinctive domed hall.
Following an extensive reconstruction, the site was reopened to the public in 2021. The historic pavilion, once a hunting lodge and summer palace, now functions as a café and a venue for various social events.
The site is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, reflecting its cultural and historical importance. It is an integral part of the historical and cultural complex associated with the nearby castle and palace grounds.
