Constructed between 1904 and 1907, this wooden cathedral, also known as the Zenkov Cathedral, is a masterpiece of earthquake-resistant architecture. It was built using a unique technique without the use of nails and stands 56 meters tall, making it one of the tallest wooden structures in the world. The building is designed in an eclectic architectural style and survived a major earthquake in 1911.
Between 2017 and 2020, the cathedral underwent an extensive restoration project to return the structure to its original appearance. It is recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site and remains a prominent historical and cultural monument.
The cathedral houses an active parish and a Sunday school. The interior and architecture are available for exploration, and the site functions as a significant religious and cultural center.
