Rástrapati Bhavan

Completed in 1929, this monumental palace serves as the official residence of the President of India. Designed by architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker, the structure covers an area of 200,000 square meters. The architecture is a notable example of Neoclassical design, blending Western classical elements with Indo-Saracenic styles. It stands as a symbol of the nation's democratic traditions and presidential legacy.

The site houses the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex, a world-class underground institution. Unlike traditional object-based museums, this facility utilizes immersive technology, including virtual reality and holographic projections, to chronicle the history of the residence. The museum provides an interactive storytelling experience focused on the building's significance and the country's democratic journey.

The grounds include the Amrit Udyan gardens, which feature a blend of East and West landscaping traditions. The main building, the museum complex, and the gardens are partially accessible to the public. Entry to these areas is managed through organized architectural tours and requires advance booking.
