Ľupča Castle

Ľupča Castle was first mentioned in historical documents around the 13th century. It got passed from one noble family to the other and at one point even served as an orphanage. It was used by military forces during World War II, as well as for charity later on. Currently it serves as a cultural and historical monument to educate its visitors about the region's past.
For those visiting by car, there's a small parking lot right next to the castle.

Opening hours

July - Aug:
Open daily except Monday: 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
(Tours are held every half an hour, with guide only and minimum number of visitors is two.)

Sep - June:
Pre-booked tours only of minimum four people. Call Mon - Fri: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
