This traditional village church is constructed from stone and wood and is topped with a characteristic grass roof. It serves as a notable landmark within its scenic setting and remains in active use today.
The building was originally constructed in a different settlement. In 1858, the structure was disassembled and the materials were carried over the mountains to be reassembled in its present location. It was officially consecrated and inaugurated on June 20, 1858.
