Built between 1926 and 1930, this Bulgarian Orthodox church was designed by architect Anton Tornyov in a blend of neo-Byzantine and national romanticism styles. The structure is recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site and is the third-largest church in the city. Its architectural layout is characterized by a large round cella that transitions into surrounding apses.

The interior is known for its excellent acoustics and wood-carved elements created by Ivan Travnicki and Todor Christov. A defining feature of the building is its massive central dome, which was constructed without the use of supporting pillars. Although the main construction was completed by 1930, finishing work on the porticos continued until 1940.
