Mount Fuji

Local name富士山カルデラ
LocationFujinomiya, Shizuoka, Japan

One of Japan's Three Holy Mountains, this is also the country's highest mountain. Choose one of the four trails and climb to the top to see scenic views of the surrounding area.

Though the views at sunrise are especially breathtaking, be aware that the top of the mountain gets incredibly crowded during this time, especially on Saturday.

Before climbing the mountain, check the official website for possible weather alerts. Be aware that the climb is quite demanding and often dangerous; you should come prepared and with full climbing equipment.
