ケールシュタインハウスは、1939年にマルティン・ボルマンがヒトラーへの誕生日プレゼントとして海抜1881mのケールシュタインの山頂近くに建てさせたティーハウスである。占領したアメリカ軍がイーグルズ・ネストと名付け、アメリカで有名な観光スポットとして知られる。

総統大本営の一つとして有名なベルクホーフとは別の建物である。

Open from the middle of May to the middle of October.

The Eagle's Nest is accessible by the Golden elevator only, to which you can hike or take the shuttle bus.

Bus:
Up: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., every 25 min
Down: last bus 4.50 p.m.

It is advised to arrive in the morning, later in the day the ticket office queue gets very long.
