Consecrated in 1685, this Baroque wooden church was designed by architects Fredrik Blom and Erik Dahlbergh. It is the largest wooden church in Sweden and forms a significant part of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Naval Port of Karlskrona. The building's layout follows a Greek cross floor plan, and the interior features colors inspired by the sea.
A well-known landmark located just outside the building is the wooden figure of the boatman Rosenbom, also known as Gubben Rosenbom. The church, also referred to as Ulrica Pia, has served as a spiritual anchor point for the Admiralty since its inception in 1681.
The church remains an active parish site, hosting weekly Sunday services and various community activities. It is also a venue for concerts. As a functioning place of worship and a historical monument, the building is open to the public.
