The Měnín Gate is the only surviving city gate of the original five that formed the medieval fortification system. Dating back to the 13th century, this Gothic structure is a protected cultural heritage monument managed by the Brno City Museum.
The building is undergoing a long-term reconstruction to house a new multimedia exhibition focused on the history of the city's fortifications. In the past, the gate has served various functions, including housing the Toy Museum. The site is currently closed to the public while renovation work is completed.
