This 21-kilometer mountain pass traverses a spur of the Annamite Range along National Route 1. Known as the "Greatest Natural Barrier," the winding route reaches a summit that offers panoramic views of the ocean, the Son Tra peninsula, and the surrounding jungle-topped mountains. It serves as a natural boundary and weather divide between northern and southern regions.
The pass holds significant historical value, formerly serving as a boundary between the kingdoms of Champa and Đại Việt.
