St. Hippolytus Hillfort

This historically significant site occupies a strategic mountain spur above the Thaya river. It contains the remains of a major Great Moravian hillfort and the Church of St. Hippolytus, which later served as a provostry for the Order of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star. Recent archaeological findings include an 11th-century rotunda located within the church grounds.

The Muzeum Velké Moravy, established in 2013, displays exhibits dedicated to the Great Moravian era. A 1 km educational trail equipped with five information panels traverses the area, detailing the history and archaeology of the settlement. The site and museum are open to the public, providing access to the fortification's remnants and historical landmarks.
