Carneiro Beach

This sandy urban beach is situated at the mouth of the Douro River. The site is characterized by prominent concrete sea walls and coastal defenses, making it the largest beach in the immediate district.

Facilities include nearby parking and establishments serving coffee and ice cream. The beach provides a setting for sunbathing and strolling along the coast.

While the beach is used for summer visits, other coastal spots in the vicinity, including Praia dos Ingleses, Praia do Homem do Leme, and Praia de Gondarém, are noted for having more scenic environments.
