This world-class cultural precinct and modern piazza was established in 2002. Constructed over active railway lines, the site features a unique architectural design and functions as a major venue for arts and public gatherings. It is recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site and serves as a central hub for community activities and free performances throughout the year.
The precinct houses several prominent cultural institutions, including the Ian Potter Centre, ACMI, and the Koorie Heritage Trust.
