루고바 협곡

The area is a 25-kilometer-long river canyon and mountainous region characterized by a dramatic landscape of deep gorges, waterfalls, and numerous caves. Designated as a natural monument in 1985 and holding status as a National Monument, the territory serves as a primary gateway to the Accursed Mountains National Park. The landscape is noted for its unique biodiversity and diverse natural features.

Extensive trail networks facilitate outdoor activities, including the Peaks of the Balkans route and paths leading to natural landmarks such as Leqinat Lake and Drelaj Lake. The region is equipped for rock climbing, cycling, and winter sports. It specifically features the first Via Ferrata climbing route in the Balkans, alongside opportunities for speleology and cave exploration.

Hiking trails vary in terrain, with routes traversing the valley and ascending toward high-altitude peaks. Specific equipment is required for specialized activities such as the Via Ferrata or speleology. The region is open to the public and remains accessible for exploration across different seasons, supporting both summer hiking and winter sports.
