The site is characterized by a unique geological feature known as the Salt Hill, formed by mineral-rich thermal water flowing from an aquifer under the Mátra Mountains. This process has created a landscape of white travertine terraces. The surrounding environment consists of pine and apple trees.
The open-air spa complex comprises 17 indoor and outdoor pools supplied by medicinal waters. On-site facilities include a hotel and a campsite. A large reservoir and lake are available for fishing. Local Egri Bikavér wine is produced and available in the area.
The history of the settlement dates back to the period of the Hungarian conquest. The village has undergone various stages of depopulation and resettlement over the centuries. The site is open to the public and serves as a center for relaxation and sightseeing.
